To celebrate the launch of Greyscalegorilla’s Tactile Materials, I created a series of surreal, clay-inspired renders designed to emphasize the tactile realism and expressive range of the new material collection. The artwork centers around an organic, sculpted skull form, allowing the materials to take visual priority while evoking a handcrafted, almost tangible aesthetic.

Objective

The goal was to visually demonstrate the depth, realism, and versatility of Tactile Materials by placing them in a scene where surface detail and texture interaction were the primary focus. The renders needed to clearly communicate how the materials respond to light, form, and imperfection while remaining visually striking for promotional use.

Challenge
